Ride Like a Girl is stepping up this year and put together a full roster of shredders. I wanted to put together a group of riders to represent my brand but instead of focusing on selling a product or team sheet, I am taking a unique approach to running this team. Each rider has their individual goals they set and want to reach. I'm driven to cater to that instead of stressing them about things that don't matter. Taking the stress out of racing and educating them that the more work you put in before you get to the race the better weekend you can have. I have have hand selected riders I have coached who have shown initiative on what it takes to be the best. I feel with a little guidance and support I can help make a bright future for these riders.
-Carley Young
Ride Like a Girl would like to introduce the team for the 2015 season.
The boys will be wearing the BMX Specific Fly Racing Kinetic Uniforms.

Tristan Von Rissen 6 Expert from Cincinnati Ohio. This kid went from Novice to Expert very quickly blasting through the ranks with wins. He struggled last year never having any 5 Experts to race so he was always forced to race the older class at Nationals. This year he has the experience he needs to ride in that class as he got a taste of it last year bumping elbows with kids. Tristan not only races BMX but this kid loves to follow his brothers footsteps and shredding it up at the skatepark. If you had to describe Tristan in one word it would be fearless. He is not afraid of anything and is always the one at the party who yells "I do it!" Carley asked Tristan to give me a few words about how he feels about being apart of the team this year and he replied with "I'm 6, I don't know any good sayings." If that doesn't shed some light on the humor he has you will just have to meet him and see for yourself!

Mason Von Rissen 9 Expert from Cincinnati Ohio. Carley coached Mason last summer and made such a difference in him within such a short period of time she knew he had to come on board with the new Ride Like a Girl team. Some riders battle with issues on the track but Carley was able to identify the issues and get him riding at his full potential. Mason loves to ride his bike. You can catch him snapping gates a the the track, blasting spines and hips at the skatepark or blasting big jumps at the trails sometimes all in the same day, thanks to his crazy BMX dad. If you had to describe Mason in one word it would be determined. He puts in the training for racing BMX without complaint and will be the last kid at the skatepark until he lands that trick. This kid is dedicated to show the world how awesome he is and we are proud of how great of a big brother he is to his little shredding buddy Tristan. Carley asked Mason for a quote on how he feels about the new team and he replied "I am excited to make a change and push myself even harder this year."
Philip Ford 11 Expert from Fort Mill South Carolina. Philip is known for giving 110% in everything he does this kid loves to reach for what he wants in life. When Carley first started working with Philip, it was to help him with bike control and teach him fundamentals to add to the energy he was giving to his bike. Philip is now a solid rider in his class who has the power to put down. Looking forward to see what Philip has in store for the 2015 season, he trains hard and has a solid mindset this year. If you had to describe Philip with one word it would be impressive. This kid being one of the smaller kids in his age group doesn't let his short comings hold him back. He is a quick learner and takes advice well from his coaches because he knows everything he does will help him accomplish his goals within BMX. Philip is an impressive kid both on and off the track. He excels in school, has a positive attitude and easy going personalty. Carley asked Philip how he felt about being on the team this year and he said "I think this new team is going to be sick and awesome because of all the great sponsors and teammates, Thanks Carley."

Zephin Mann 15 Expert from Clifton Virginia. Zephin has only been racing for a few years and has taken some great steps in improving his riding. A little black cloud followed him last year bringing him down with injuries. He is 100% healthy this year and is looking forward to riding smart and staying on his bike all season. Carley first met Zephin at Hampton BMX where she did a clinic and found this rad little ramper killing it on flats. Boosting everything and had some skills to keep his riding at his skill level. With some coaching and confidence boosting Carley helped Zephin make it through the ranks and become the expert rider he had been hoping for. Describing Zephin in one word would be ambitious. This kid even when he was down he was thinking about ways to remain the best. He works really hard to ride his bike and have fun. He is also a very generous person who gives back to others and a great role model for his little sister Kaili. We asked Zephin to give us a few words about how he feels joining this new team and here are this thoughts "

Jonas Yockelson 13 Expert from Silver Springs Maryland. When choosing kids for the team who Carley really felt she could help and inspire to take the next level she thought of the Yockelson family. Jonas has 2 rockstar sisters and they all love BMX. Bringing Jonas on board was a no brainer. Carley has spent many summers at Ohio Dreams working with him and his riding. He is laid back funny kid who loves to just ride. He doesn't stress about little things, he just remembers to smile and have fun. Jonas is a great big brother to Piper and Ava. They get along great as a family and work together well when learning new things. When thinking of Jonas and describing him in one word would be vigorous. He is an energetic kid who has many skills on a bike who has dreams of being the best and Carley wants to help Jonas be the kid he sees he can be.We asked Jonas how he felt about joining the team and this is what he shared with us "I am eagerly awaiting for the 2015 season, riding for Carley's fantastic new team!"

Gavin Adams 8 Expert from Charlotte NC. Gavin started racing at the young age of 5 and has a room full of trophies to show how successful his years on his bike have been. Carley and Gavin have worked together for many years. One thing he is great at is getting out of the gate and to that first turn. First as a Novice and Intermediate rider it wasn't often he was battling for the lead. He completed his first year as an Expert this year and as some riders may understand, it's hard to win all the time and then be put in with kids who also all wanna get to that first turn first. Gavin is willing to put in the work this year he needs to ride at his best. He has been taking his riding up a step by going more to skateparks and hitting box jumps to better his jumping. He has great skills on a bike for a kid his age and he learns very quickly. He is self motivated to be #1. Describing Gavin in one word would be genuine. He really cares about others and just loves being a kid. He is going to be the best at everything he wants to do because inside he believes he can do anything and that is a powerful for a kid his age to have! Looking forward to seeing what Gavin brings this year to racing because he has a lot of heart to give to this sport. Gavin when asked about his new team responded "I am pumped for the new team, sponsors and teammates. I like that I know everyone already and we get two different uniforms to wear."
The girls will be wearing the Women's Specific Fly Racing Uniforms.

Ashley Cooley 16 Girl rider from Huber Heights Ohio. Ashley has been riding for many years and has many #1 plates hanging on her wall from growing up racing. She is a bright girl with a passion for riding. Like others she uses it to get away from the drama kids deal with being a teenager. Ashley trains hard along side her brother Dylan and her favorite pro Jeffrey Upshaw. When thinking of girls who need a little guidance to take their riding further, Carley immediately thought of Ashley. She has the skills and the speed, she just need a little help with keeping her mental game strong when it matters most. Being she is just years away from possibly turning pro these next few years are important to see where this sport will take her. Ashley has some realistic goals for 2015 and Carley is excited to help her accomplish what she has set forward. Thinking of a word to describe Ashley would be awesome. It is not only her nickname, but when that girl is determined that girl really rides awesome out on the track. She has such a goofy bubbly personality with corny jokes and a laugh to match. Some know her as being shy but when she warms up to you she doesn't have an ounce of shyness in her! Looking forward to seeing Awesome Ashley Cooley ramping big jumps this year and taking some podium finishes in her class. When we asked Ashley about the new team she said "Excited to see what the 2015 season brings me , I am more than happy to be representing ride like a girl and all of out other sponsors . Couldn't be any happier!"

Ava Yockelson 8 years old from Silver Springs Maryland. The Yockelson family rocks! We are excited to have Ava going to be representing Ride Like A Girl this season. There is a lot to be said about this little pocket rocket. She is fun, witty and always down for a good laugh, but this girl is really good at turning on her race face when the time comes down to it. When thinking of a word to describe her it would be aggressive. She is not afraid to get out and get over and she understands the importance of getting to the first turn first. They call her Awful Ava, but this girl is nothing but a boat load of fun. She would rather take a funny photo than be serious and she loves to ride her bike. Her skills have improved for her age very quickly. She is no stranger to pedaling and she has also been known to jump a few things on the track too. We are excited to see what Ava is going to be reaching for this 2015 season. This is what she had to say about joining the team "I'm really excited to join Carley's team. I think it will be super fun & I will get a lot more training out of this."

Piper Yokelson 10 years old from Silver Springs Maryland. Piper is known for her positive attitude and her sense of humor. The announcer calls her Hyper Piper and if you hang out with her you will see that her bubbly energy is contagious. Piper is not stranger to winning. She know what it takes to win and gets the job done. Being in the girls class you have to bring your mental game to the race and she has no problem getting in the right frame of mind, even if she is caught smiling on the track. Carley has spent a few summer with Piper at the Ohio Dreams camp and when looking for riders she remembered the awesome little camper she had who would be the life of the party. Piper is not afraid of being herself so when thinking of a word to describe her as Unique. Piper is not shy about being who she is and she loves to live life! When asked about her feeling on joining the team she replied "I'm excited to be Carley's little shredder! Watch out boys...."

Natalee Daugherty 12 years old from Addison Texas. When looking for riders for the team Carley looked at many riders in the 12 girls class trying to find the perfect fit. This is one of the most competitive classes with a bunch of up and coming riders who are pushing their abilities to win. Natalee was a perfect fit for her attitude both on and off the track, Carley has had her eye on her for a while. Carley was getting great feedback on her when she asked other riders and even pros about her and there was never a negative response. Natalee brings a goal to be the table to not only be a Nag rider but a World Champion. Carley wants to do everything she can to help this girls dream become a reality. When using one word to describe Natalee we would have to use ambitious. We admire Natalee because she knows what she wants and has a plan on how she wants to get there, things most adults still don't even have figured out yet! When asked about her new adventure on the team she replied "2014 was a great year with Factory Ssquared. I am excited about this opportunity and representing this new team. I have set a lot of goals for 2015. One of them is to be standing on the podium representing the USA at the UCI World Championship in Belgium. I can't wait for all that 2015 has in store for me."
Carley Young Elite Women 30 years old from Charlotte North Carolina. Carley has been racing for 25 years come this April. She started this team after this years Grand Nationals when she decided to part ways with Kid Dynamite and focus on Ride Like A Girl full time. When thinking of a word to describe Carley, it is hard to come up with just one.. A phrase we would have to use amazingly awesome! Carley has such a love for the sport and the kids that she trains, that it exudes from her. She is always so positive and uplifting. She is a strong but gentle woman who has a great passion for what she does. When we asked Carley about how she feels about this new adventure she replied "Nothing but good things for 2015. I have spent years helping my sponsors by promoting their brand and leaving mine on the back burner. I started Ride Like A Girl in 2006 and last year was the first year I put energy into it. A jam packed summer of Summer Camps, Group Clinics and Private Lessons I could see that if I just put more time into this this could be very successful and great for the sport of BMX. My goal in life is to make the difference in the world and I hope to make some awesome memories with these 11 riders by my side on my new team."
